Homemade cat sympathy card

When a beloved cat dies a handmade sympathy card from friends and relatives can mean more to the recipient than anyone will ever know. To have their pet's life acknowledged and celebrated in a few heart-felt words can offer some comfort and support.

Not crafty? Don't despair. You can also make and send your own homemade card. I designed and created a basic homemade sympathay card with peel-offs, white card, and envelope.

Materials:
Acid-free white card and envelope
Acid-free gold coloured peel-off cat
Flower stick-on
Butterfly peel-off sticker

From ancient times, the butterfly has come to symbolise light, and change. In many religions butterfly symbolism represents the spirit and soul. Its three steps of metamorphosis - as caterpillar, pupa and then winged insect - are reminiscent of spiritual transformation.

Verses for cat sympathy cards can provide the purrfect condolence message:
"when the cat you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure"

These are heart-felt words to write in a blank condolence card:
Sorry you had to part from (name of animal) his/her love will survive forever in your heart.
